Porcelain Veneers

When it comes to creating stunning smiles, there may be no treatment option more effective than veneers. Made of durable and highly stain resistant porcelain, veneers are ultra-thin laminates that are adhered to the front surfaces of teeth to conceal gaps, chips, or discoloration in a person’s smile. These restorations can also be used to correct minor misalignment or add length to smaller teeth to a produce full, beautiful smile.

Veneers are custom-created to match the size, shape, color, and texture of surrounding teeth. Our dentists can show you exactly how these restorations could enhance your smile through the computer imaging service available at our practice. Contact our office today to schedule a complimentary consultation to learn more about the benefits of porcelain veneers.

Porcelain Crowns

Crowns are custom-made tooth replicas that are excellent for restoring the appearance of damaged or decayed teeth. Crowns can also be used to replace teeth that are malformed or misaligned.

In order to place a crown, the dentist first reduces the size of the damaged tooth. He or she then carefully places the crown over the tooth and uses a powerful adhesive agent to secure the bond.

A traditional crown consists of a tooth replica that is attached to a metal base. This base helps anchor the crown onto the tooth. The drawback with this type of crown is that, over time, the metal can begin to show through the gums and produce a dark line. For this reason, our dentists use all-porcelain crowns. These restorations contain no metal compounds, which allows them to diffuse light all the way to the top of the tooth for an extremely natural appearance.

Because they do not produce a gray hue around the gum line, all-porcelain crowns provide our patients with beautiful, natural looking smiles. In addition, they add strength to damaged teeth and can even be used to replace conventional metal-based crowns. For more information about the benefits of all-ceramic restorations, please contact our office today.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth tend to lose their natural whiteness over time. Staining agents such as coffee, tea, wine, soft drinks, and cigarettes can also produce discoloration. Fortunately, modern dentistry offers several advanced treatment options for restoring white, healthy looking smiles. One of the most effective techniques is laser teeth whitening. In this procedure, a special whitening gel is applied to the front surfaces of the teeth, which are then exposed to an ultraviolet laser light. The light activates the gel’s bleaching properties and enables it to remove stains and discoloration from the teeth. With this quick and simple procedure, our dentists can whiten your smile by up to 10 shades in a little over an hour.

At our practice, we offer the state-of-the-art Zoom!® whitening procedure. This treatment effectively reverses years of wear and discoloration to provide patients with brilliant smiles. With periodic touch-ups and basic at-home care, your beautiful Zoom!® smile can last indefinitely.

We also provide patients with the latest take-home teeth whitening kits. These kits are ideal for individuals who wish to enhance their smiles in the comfort and convenience of their own homes.

Invisalign®

The field of orthodontics has come a long way since children had no choice but to wear cumbersome metal braces to develop straighter smiles. Today, more and more people are turning to Invisalign® - a revolutionary orthodontic treatment that allows people of all ages to achieve beautiful, well-balanced smiles without having to wear metal braces of any kind.

The Invisalign® system utilizes a series of clear plastic mouth trays that are custom-made to fit comfortably in the mouth and gradually bring the teeth into alignment. Every few weeks, a new set of custom-molded trays is created for the patient until the process is complete. One of the many benefits of Invisalign® correction is that, on average, treatment time is only half that of conventional metal braces.

Many adults who require orthodontic correction prefer Invisalign® to other types of corrective wear because the aligners are virtually impossible to detect. The plastic trays are also molded according to each patient’s specifications, so there are no uncomfortable objects, such as wires or brackets, to irritate the mouth. Another benefit of Invisalign® aligners is that they are removable, which allows patients to eat, brush, and floss more easily than with traditional braces.

If you would like to find out more about how Invisalign® could provide you or your child with a wonderful new smile, please contact us today to schedule a complimentary consultation.

Periodontal Procedures

Do you sometimes feel reluctant to smile in front of others because you have large gums? If so, you may be able to benefit from one of several different gum reshaping procedures. By carefully removing excess gum tissue, our dentists can fix “gummy” smiles and create balance between the teeth and gums. Our dentists also offer advanced procedures in which underlying bone is contoured to provide patients with beautiful, more proportionate smiles.

If you think you may be a candidate for gum reshaping, our computer imaging service can show you how this procedure could enhance your appearance. Contact us today to schedule an appointment to learn more about how our dentists can help you achieve a beautiful smile through gum reshaping.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

At our office we use tooth-colored fillings to preserve teeth that are in the early stages of decay. Made of a composite resin material, tooth-colored fillings come in a variety of shades from which the appropriate color can be selected to match your tooth and maintain your smile’s appearance. These fillings will reinforce the structural integrity of your tooth and help insulate it against extreme changes in temperature, allowing you to enjoy your favorite foods and beverages without discomfort.

Tooth-colored fillings have been proven to last as long as conventional fillings and can even be used to replace them to provide more natural looking smiles. If you would like to learn more about how these modern restorations can help maintain the health and appearance of your teeth, please contact us today.
